Ada Turns 1, and I turn old

This week we had Adas' first birthday party at Porter Park here in Rexburg (it was thankfully, one of the few non-rainy days for the past few weeks). We had a good turnout and Ada got tons of gifts (Thanks everyone!). So view the pix of Adas' birthday, of her first ice cream ever, and of her new carseat and thus new favorite toy: the box it came in! Thanks also go out to all those who sent me gifts/cards as I turn the big 25 tomorrow.
Look for the new video of her birthday but be forewarned, it's a long one!

Not a whole lot has happened this past week but Ada did ride on the carousel by herself, (with Daddy holding her), drank milk for the first time (hence the milk face) and learned to say cheese (first she said it as she LOVES cheese, but she also likes to take pictures and smiles better when we tell her to say cheese!). Her birthday party will be this week so many more pictures will come towards the end of the week.
Josh is loving Fathers Day already and hasn't even seen Adas' present yet (a onesie from Old Navy saying I Love my Daddy). But he got a game he wanted and a new dress shirt (he wanted to get a different color other than blue or white so we got him green- he's just glad we didn't go with teal or yellow!). Happy Fathers Day to all you Fathers (or soon to be Fathers) out there!

Fashion Forward

Ada and I helped Aunt Devin out this past week by being a part of her fashion show. Ada did very well, except when someone else tried to hold her for a second; she cried for a minute and wanted me back, and then hugged me for about 5 minutes. It was great ( in that I felt wanted and I will remember this moment when she's a teenager and feels much the opposite). I on the other hand, felt like a curly blue circus tent, but the people awwww'd just the same - more for Ada I am sure! Josh was our very own paparazzi, but the pix turned out very dark so we took this one afterwards.

Playing dress up. She has figured out how to put this on by herself and she is so proud!

More dress up and her new monkey PJs.

I think this pregnancy picture is marginally better than the last... but you can tell how hot it was that day!
